I tapped into something that is crucial to understand — I can live on my own terms. Life doesn’t have to be defined by anyone other than me. The things that make me happy don’t need to be approved by anyone else. My mistakes are mine. I get to learn and grow from them. I get to become better because of them. As I am in the process of cleaning my slate, reorganizing my life, and changing the expectations I have for myself and others, I am being liberated all over again. I’m becoming more comfortable with things not being written in stone. People change. Life changes. I have to be flexible and allow them to change just as I change.
Learning to be more open and flexible has been beneficial. However, I refuse to live an unstructured life. I live with intention and purpose. I just made some tweaks so that I don’t also live in stress. I’m looking forward to Saturday, February 24th. I get to partner with Ms Melody Waller and host A Vision Board Party with a twist! This vision board party is important to me because I get to help people tap into what’s most important in their lives. I get to guide them through mental and emotional blocks that hinder them from reaching their potential and living their best lives.
It’s not magic. There is no special potion. Accepting and walking in your truth is the key. So often we are following ideals and comparing ourselves to other people and their ideas for our lives without finding out what our purpose is. We go through life on autopilot and we don’t think and process the decisions we make. We have dreams but unrealistic plans to reach those dreams. We are broken and wounded mentally and emotionally, yet we try to prosper. Life is connected. We are whole persons and every aspect of our being is tied together.
Live on your own terms. Answer the question ‘why’. Be determined and don’t stop until you know who you are and what your purpose is. Make decisions that add to your health and happiness. Decide that you don’t need relationships that don’t add to the quality of your life. Decide to not be defined by any relationship. Decide that regardless of what happens in your life, you are going to make it. You are going to be all right. That’s what creating a clean slate is really all about. It’s making the decision that none of the drama, none of the mess, none of the insecurities and negativities of your past get to follow you to this present point and dictate your future. Throw out the garbage. Throw out every grudge. Get rid of the things that poison your heart and your mind. Throwing them out might include counsel. Throwing out the garbage will require you to forgive. Throwing out the garbage might include tears and feeling as if you’re out of control; but at the end of the day, the results are worth it. The change that comes as a result of you working to allow what hurt you to make you will be priceless and indescribable!
I’m rooting for you! I’m thankful for the opportunity to share my journey with you. I don’t have all the answers; but there are some things I’ve discovered and they have definitely been the secrets to my success. I’d love to work with you and help you get to the next level of your life. Schedule a 60-minute coaching session with me and let’s get started.
Hope Always,
💜Missy
