📢 BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE I trusted what other people had to say about my ex. So many sang his praises and I was convinced that I had hit the jackpot. My personal relationship with him proved him to be the exact opposite. I went through so much pain because I was naive and dependent on what others thought. HUGE MISTAKE. ___ You are one of the best judges of whether or not someone is good for you. Listening to what family and friends have to say is important but don't forget to properly evaluate your relationship for yourself. Be honest and don't make excuses for negative or unfavorable behavior. LISTEN TO YOUR GUT. My life didn't change just because I wanted it to - I had to get RADICAL. I couldn't bear to be a defeated victim any longer. I couldn't continue to feel sorry for myself. I had to figure out a way to LIVE. So, I pushed beyond my pain. I changed the narrative that was in my head about myself and my life. I fought to BELIEVE in better days. I was desperate so I took desperate measures. I left my abusive fiancé. I started thinking about and reaching out to others instead of being consumed with my own hurt. I started accepting my truth and acknowledging my reality. I stopped lying to myself. I took some time to look in the mirror and sit with who I was and decide who I wanted to be. It worked. I'm a walking miracle. I love the work that I do. I enjoy walking in hope, happiness, and freedom and helping others to do the same. Life is not easy but it's still a gift. It's designed to be mastered and enjoyed. I never got help after I left that situation......I thought I was fine but in reality I have been damaged since then....b4 then too but let’s not talk about that rn......November 22, 2019 . Everything that happened in my relationship when I was 19 all happened in one day.....on this day. Domestic violence is real . I was in a situation where i just knew I was going to die .....he wouldn’t stop. The first time a man shows u who he is please listen ladies . I never thought he would do this to me . I wish I would’ve listened back in February tho when he first pushed me....I shouldn’t have ignored that...I want you ladies to really keep this video in mind. I don’t want to see this happening to any woman . Ever!!! . And Yes I am pressing charges!!!! I will not let him get away with this ..... . Ya kno It’s real hard being a woman sometimes .
