Moments with Missy™ initially started as a small Facebook group. It was birthed as a result of Melissa (Missy) giving her pain a voice and from a desire to help other people move beyond their pain, toward healing and hope. Missy would discuss her life experiences and struggles along with what she was doing to positively deal with them.  In 2015, the group became an official brand. Moments with Missy™ became a platform for empowerment, hope and healing, designed to provide positive insight on everyday issues.  The goal is to help people better cope with life by teaching them how to reconstruct their thinking processes so that they learn to thrive despite difficulties.

Missy combines her Psychology degree, experience servicing the mentally ill, personal history of depression and struggle with suicide with her faith in God to make Moments with Missy™ the life-changing presence that it is.

Through various workshops, paneled discussions, empowerment sessions, individual coaching, relationship advocacy, her published inspirational memoir, MsMissy Speaksand her blog, Missy has been able to support and encourage those struggling with depression, sadness, unhealthy relationships and poor life quality. She is skilled in sharing her traumas, wounds, and present difficulties to connect with and inspire others who want to transition from surviving to thriving. Missy loves to empower individuals to take control of their life and relationship choices by teaching them to be in tune with themselves (such as their wants, needs, fears, strengths, and what makes them happy). Missy specializes in helping individuals evaluate their relationships and determine whether or not they are healthy and serve a positive purpose.

Moments with Missy™ is designed to be a reminder that no one has to be alone. We all go through extremely difficult times. We all face discouragement and at some point will want to give up. We all  need help and hope. Each of us has a past. We are flawed. We all have something about ourselves or our lives that we don’t want people to know. The more amazing truth is that we are all capable of surviving and learning and growing through the difficulties.
